Overview
An employee in this position is responsible for developing routes, scheduling full and part-time drivers for vans covering fixed and variable routes serving the public, elderly and disabled citizens. Work includes answering the telephone, coordinating appointment scheduling for passengers, and maintain records. Dispatching involves working with van drivers and riders, coordinating numerous rider changes; locating backup drivers; monitoring routes to ensure efficiency and adjusting routes as needed. Employee processes billing and reports to agencies and prints reports. Administrative duties include entering information into the database, verifying fuel usage, and billing clients.
