Overview

Clay County Government is seeking applicants for a full time position at the Clay County Transportation Department. The primary purpose of this position is to drive a transit vehicle to provide transportation services for Clay County citizens. Work includes following an assigned route schedule, assisting passengers, collecting funds for services, accurately completing reports and records and maintaining a clean vehicle. The candidate must have a special understanding of the needs of passengers served including the elderly and individuals with disabilities. 


Candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age with 5 years minimum driving experience, have a valid driver's license with a clean driving history, pass a pre-employment drug test, pass background check, ability to navigate through urban areas such as Atlanta, Chattanooga and Asheville.
